About Charlie Dewhirst

Charlie Dewhirst lives in Wansford, near Driffield, with his wife and two children. He grew up in Nafferton before moving to London after university to pursue a career in sport and communications. He has previously worked with Hull City AFC, London 2012 Olympics and England Rugby and has advised a diverse range of businesses and charities, including Bacardi-Martini and the Royal British Legion.  

Charlie moved back home to East Yorkshire six years ago to take on a senior organising role with the Cycling World Championships and has since returned to his local farming roots, as an adviser to the British pig industry. He is also Vice Chair of the Conservative Rural Forum and founded a charitable consultancy which advised local businesses impacted during the COVID pandemic.    

Charlie is a local councillor, representing the East Wolds & Coastal ward, and is Deputy Leader of East Riding Council.
