With Parliament on recess last week, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Poland with the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme and meet the RAF personnel serving on the Russian frontline as part of NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission.
It was fantastic to talk to the servicemen and women deployed alongside the Polish and Swedish air forces and we witnessed British Typhoons being scrambled to intercept a Russian aircraft during our time on the base.
We finished the visit with a tour of the Polish parliament before being kindly hosted by the UK Ambassador at the embassy in Warsaw. The UK continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with Poland and our alliance is as strong as it has ever been.
