Bridlington’s fishing community is at the heart of our local economy and the town is proud to be the Lobster Capital of Europe! It was therefore great to meet the Independent Fisherman’s Cooperative at the harbour as we approach the busy Christmas season.
We had productive discussions about recruitment challenges in the fishing sector, ideas for promoting Bridlington and how I can lend my support through my roles in Parliament on the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs Select Committee and All-Party Parliamentary Group for Fisheries. I am committed to working with the industry to ensure a bright future for our town.
