The Labour Government has finally u-turned on their cuts to the winter fuel allowance for pensioners. It's a welcome decision, but I won't forget hearing from local grandparents last winter who couldn't afford to buy their grandchildren any Christmas presents, or the lady who had to go to bed at 5pm just to stay warm.
Thank you to everyone who contacted me and signed my petition to urge the Government to do the right thing. We will not forget Labour's betrayal of our pensioners.
