It was great to be in Market Weighton today to meet Persimmon Homes for the official opening of the show home at the new Bradley Park development.
We discussed the challenges for housebuilders in trying to meet the Government's target of 1.5 million new homes, not least the shortage of labour and materials.
Bradley Park is named after Market Weighton legend William Bradley, or Giant Bradley as he is better known. He is believed to be the tallest man ever to have lived in the UK and, as you can tell from one of the photos, I am some way short of his 7 feet 9 inches tall.
