Following its £8 million redevelopment, creating around 100 jobs in our local area, it was great to help open The Maltings care home in Sewerby last week.
Having stood partially completed and empty for several years, the new build is Fisher Care Group’s latest care home and will provide residential, dementia and respite care across 59 luxury ensuite bedrooms, landscaped gardens, an orangery, cinema room, bistro-style dining area with bar, and an on-site hair salon.
Congratulations to all involved in the opening weekend, including the choir and RNLI, and best of luck to all 30 staff recruited from the local community going forward.
