Our historic churches are the heart of our rural communities but many are struggling with huge repair bills that they have to pay for themselves, with no funding from the government or the Church of England. With Labour’s recent cuts to the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme, the burden on our local churches is only getting worse.
I raised this issue in the House of Commons, so we can find a way to protect our wonderful heritage before it’s too late.
