I took the opportunity to highlight the importance of making better use of local community NHS facilities, like in Bridlington and Driffield. The New Hospitals Programme is just one part of a wider picture when it comes to improving local healthcare.
Community facilities like Bridlington District Hospital and Alfred Bean Hospital in Driffield are underutilised and have huge potential to support the delivery of frontline services closer to home. I’ll keep pushing for these vital resources to be properly valued and integrated into the future of our local healthcare system.
